In Situ Solidification by γ−ray Irradiation Process for Integrated Solid−State Lithium Battery

The safety concerns associated with power batteries have prompted significant interest in all−solid−state lithium (ASSBs). However, the advancement of ASSBs has been significantly impeded due to their unsatisfactory electrochemical performance, which is attributed challenging interface between solid−state electrolyte and electrodes. In this work, an situ polymerized composite (LLZTO−PVC) consisting poly(vinylene carbonate) (PVC) Li6.4La3Zr1.4Ta0.6O12 (LLZTO) was successfully prepared by a γ−ray irradiation technique. novel technique solved problem rigidity at electrode electrolyte. LLZTO−PVC exhibited notable ionic conductivity 1.2 × 10−4 S cm−1 25 °C, along good mechanical strength flexibility window exceeding 4.65 V. It showed that LiCoO2(LCO)/LLZTO−PVC/Li battery, achieved solidification via irradiation, can steadily work current density 0.2 C °C maintain retention rate 92.4% over 100 cycles. interfacial compatibility electrodes designed polymerization could be its excellent performance. Therefore, method provides vital reference for solving problem.
